Indian Assistant High Commissioner Pays Courtesy Call on RUET Vice-Chancellor

The Assistant High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, Manoj Kumar, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Professor Dr. S.M. Abdur Razzaq.
Upon his arrival at the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Tuesday (28 th April) afternoon, Mr. Kumar was warmly received by Professor Dr. Razzaq, who presented him with an honorary memento. The meeting was attended by the Deans of all faculties, as well as the Directors of the ICT and Student Welfare departments.

Strengthening Academic Ties
During the discussion, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the Assistant High Commissioner on RUET’s ongoing academic and research initiatives. He emphasized the critical importance of mutual cooperation between the two neighboring countries in the fields of engineering education and scientific research.

In response, Assistant High Commissioner Manoj Kumar highlighted the academic and research frameworks of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). He highly praised the engineering education system in Bangladesh, noting that, "There is no alternative to mutual cooperation in order to further enhance the standards of education and research."

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to fostering future collaborations between RUET and Indian technical institutions to benefit students and faculty from both nations.
